Footnotely ("we") operates footnotely.com. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account data: email address and a hashed password.
• Project data: brand names, domains, competitors, buyer questions and facts you enter, and the AI answers we collect for you.
• Free crawler check: the domain you enter and your IP address, used only for abuse prevention.
• Billing: handled by Stripe as merchant of record. We never see full card numbers.

How we use it

To run the service, send you reports and product emails (you can unsubscribe anytime), and prevent abuse. Your questions are sent to AI providers (OpenAI, Perplexity, Google) to collect answers.

Processors

Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and auth, Canada region), Stripe (payments), ActiveCampaign (email list), and the AI providers above.

Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of your data at hello@footnotely.com. Residents of Canada (PIPEDA), the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA) have additional rights, which we honour.
